Octavia

The only surviving Roman historical drama, and the source of Ottavia's lament and exile in L'incoronazione di Poppea. Attributed to Seneca in the manuscripts, but he appears in it as a character and it refers to events after his death, so the attribution is certainly wrong. Probably late first century, and no closer date is defensible.
